Last weekend at Suzuka, the four-time world champion told a journalist from the Guardian to "get out" over a question he was asked after narrowly losing the title to Lando Norris at the season finale at Abu Dhabi in 2025.
The incident was by no means the first involving Verstappen that has questioned whether or not a British bias exists amongst F1 media.
in 2022, Verstappen refused to speak to the UK's Sky Sports after reporter Ted Kravitz said his 2021 title rival Lewis Hamilton had been "robbed" of an eighth world championship in Abu Dhabi.
Two years later, after winning his fourth world title in Las Vegas, Verstappen declared: "The problem in F1 is that 80 to 85% of the media is British. And I did feel that some things which were written about me were not fair."
But is there really a bias in F1 media? Or is it really just a case of one nationality being 'over-represented' in the paddock? These are the questions discussed in the latest episode of the F1 Paddock Update.
