Verstappen loses Perez support due to overtaking mistake with Norris

Max Verstappen had a perfect restart, after a brief safety car, but will not be happy with the restart. His Mexican teammate, Sergio Perez, ended up in the gravel after overtaking Lando Norris for second place. In the same way that Alexander Albon got into the gravel last year, Perez got into the gravel this time.

As a result, Verstappen lost his buffer in Perez and only Norris was between the Dutchman and the two Mercedes drivers. Perez fell back to tenth position, behind Daniel Ricciardo and Sebastian Vettel. Verstappen himself is driving comfortably at the front with a reasonable lead over Norris and Hamilton.
