Lance Stroll caused a red flag at the start of Q1 in Mexico. The Aston Martin driver lost his car on the approach to the straight and slammed into the wall. The damage is significant for the Canadian, who will probably have to start from the pit lane on Sunday.
Stroll was driving with a new engine, so he would have been penalised anyway, but it gives Aston Martin a lot of work. Many drivers were just starting their first fast lap but were unable to complete it due to the red flag. This will reportedly result in a busy final phase of Q1 at the Autodromo Hermanos Rodriquez.
