Sergio Perez had a great start at the
Azerbaijan Grand Prix. The Mexican had an excellent start immediately and managed to pass
Charles Leclerc, who started from pole position, in the first corner.
Max Verstappen also got off to a good start, but the Dutchman found no room to get past either of his two predecessors. Verstappen could therefore do nothing but follow Perez and Leclerc.
Carlos Sainz continued to drive in fourth place, keeping
George Russell behind him.
It makes for an interesting situation for
Red Bull Racing. With Perez in first place and Verstappen in third, it created a similar situation to how the Monaco GP ended. However, Ferrari still has enough laps to go to outsmart the Austrian racing stable.
