Is Russell right in his lament and did Perez deserve a penalty?

George Russell stands in no-one's shadow, but instead makes himself heard more and more. As president of the GPDA, he has regularly spoken out about (the lack of) consistency from the stewards this year.

Was Russell right about Perez incident?

At the French Grand Prix, Russell felt that Sergio Perez should have relinquished his position to him, 'because he was sitting with his front wheels beside him'. The two collided and Perez cut the corner, whereupon the Mercedes driver ruled that the position belonged to him.
After the race, Russell was unable to let go of the incident. The 24-year-old Briton insists it was 'his corner' and that Perez should have given up his position 'by the letter of the law'. Does Russell have a point or is it sheer nonsense? We find out in the latest episode of F1 Purist.
