There may be some issues surrounding the 2026 regulations, but there has ben plenty of overtakes and battles to open up the campaign, highlighted by the battle between
Charles Leclerc and
Lewis Hamilton.
The Monegasque came over the team radio to say how much fun he was having behind the wheel of the car, which then led to him admitting that racing and overtaking were not as "artificial" as once feared.
"I enjoy it, and it doesn't feel so artificial from inside the car,” Leclerc stated after his battle with Hamilton in Shanghai
"Of course, you've got those overtakes where it's artificial, whenever someone is making a mistake with the battery and completely drains it, and then, there's a massive speed difference.
“But, I feel like we are all converging a little bit towards knowing where we shouldn't go and where we can try and take the risk, and so, that creates very interesting overtaking places. I think today was the showing of that.”
