Because they are forced inside, more and more drivers are sim racing these days. Nicholas Latifi, Charles Leclerc, Lando Norris, Alexander Albon, George Russell and Antonio Giovinazzi decided to join forces by setting up a championship together.
Through their livestreams they hope to collect money together for the fight against the COVID-19 coronavirus. Their goal is to raise a total of 100,000 dollars. The counter currently stands at almost 40,000 dollars.
The championship will take place over three nights this week. The first round was Saturday 11 April, the second round this Tuesday 14 April and the last on Friday 17 April. They all start at 19:00 Dutch time.
The races can be followed via the Twitch-channels of Norris and Latifi among others, but also of drivers outside Formula 1 who have signed up, such as Stoffel Vandoorne and Jimmy Broadbent.
