In April,
Formula 1 returns to Australia after a two-year absence. This time the drivers will race on a completely redesigned
Albert Park Street Circuit and
Daniel Ricciardo will take you over the first half of the modified route.
Albert Park is even faster
"It has been a difficult circuit to overtake. I think just because it's kind of narrow and very fast,
" Ricciardo says of
Albert Park. In the video, the organization of the
Australian Grand Prix shows how the circuit has been modified using technical drawings.
The apex of turn one has been widened and so has that of turn three. This allows for multiple lines. In addition, turn six has become 7.5 meters wider. Drivers can now go through that corner at about 70 kilometers per hour more. The biggest change is the removal of the turn nine and ten chicane. This section can now be taken at full speed.
