The technical regulations for 2022 explained by Mercedes

In a new video from Mercedes, Mike Elliott, the technical director of Mercedes, discusses the upcoming 2022 rule changes. According to the Brit, a lot is going to change, but then again, not.

Mercedes is working on a series on their YouTube channel with videos towards the start of the 2022 Formula One season. In this series, we previously saw a video with James Allison, but now Elliott appears in front of the camera to explain more about the rules for the upcoming season.

Elliott reveals in the video that little will change in terms of performance in 2022. Although it was expected that the cars would be much slower with the new regulations, according to Elliott that is not so bad. Of course, an entirely new car had to be designed, but all the technological aids have ensured that Mercedes has lost little ground.
