Verstappen and Norris' friendship at its strongest: 'I want to learn Dutch'

The friendship between Max Verstappen and Lando Norris is stronger than ever. While Verstappen says he prefers the company of Norris during an evening out, the McLaren driver states that he wants to learn Dutch to be able to talk to Verstappen.

The duo have been spotted partying on several occasions in the past and, in addition, the F1 drivers regularly play games with each other. So when a fan asked him which driver he would most like to spend an evening in the pub with, Verstappen did not have to think long. "I would still take Lando, I think I could still teach him a thing or two," laughs the reigning world champion.

That the feeling is still mutual is evident from a comment Norris makes during a livestream. "I downloaded Duolingo the other day. I want to try and learn Dutch so I can speak to Max," said the McLaren driver.
