'Williams borrows parts from Mercedes after recent crashes'

Williams has had many crashes during the 2024 Formula 1 season. This resulted in parts having to be replaced each time. Because of the problems, another team on the grid has come to Williams' rescue.

Williams has occured the most damage this season. The now departed Logan Sargeant had several crashes. His replacement, Franco Colapinto, has also had a few crashes, including a 50G impact in Las Vegas last weekend. Alex Albon has also had problems. In Melbourne, he had to use his teammate's car because of a crash in practice and no spare chassis.

The problems were so severe that the British team are reported to be borrowing parts from Mercedes. Sky Sports reporter Ted Kravitz reported that James Vowles confirmed that Mercedes had loaned parts to Williams. This involves rear suspension parts.
