Carlos Sainz had a difficult afternoon at Zandvoort. He finished fifth, but a five-second time penalty after an unsafe release dropped him to eighth. Next weekend is the Italian Grand Prix and that promises to be another difficult weekend.
First of all, the Monza circuit seems to be the one for the RB18. With many long straights, engine power is extremely important and in the Belgian GP we saw that the car of Max Verstappen and Sergio Perez is almost unstoppable.
On top of that Sainz will probably have to start from the back of the grid. Ferrari will reportedly choose to replace the engine of the Madrid driver. Sainz himself says an engine change is indeed coming 'soon'. At Formu1a.uno they know that it will happen in Italy.
The new engine should also be a bit lighter. Two kilos to be precise. That should also save some time in the battle with Red Bull.

Grid penalty coming up for Sainz?
