'Ferrari to continue with current team boss Vasseur heading into 2026'

After in Italian media there were rumours of Frederic Vasseur getting replaced back ahead of the Canadian GP, ahead of the weekend at the Hungaroring, rumours suggest the Frenchman is about to sign a new deal with the Scuderia.
There is no deal signed yet for the French team principal of Ferrari Motorsport.com Italy writes, but Vasseur is expected to remain with the Scuderia this upcoming season, the medium reports. A deal is expected to be signed soon.
Ahead of the Canadian Grand Prix earlier this season, Vasseur's position was questioned by the Italian media.
To that, he responded at the time: "I don't understand the target. Perhaps it's to give s*** to the team, but in this case I don't see the point. Perhaps it's for them the only way to exist. This is probably more the reason. But it's really hurting the team."
At the time, Ferrari also reacted to the rumours to GPblog. 'It's not even worth responding to' was the message by the Scuderia.

Afterwards, CEO Benedetto Vigna broke silence about the matter to Sky Sports Italy at the British GP. “We are discussing. We’re with Fred. We just had lunch together.”

'Duration of the deal not known'

The duration of the Frenchman's deal is unknown according to the rumours. The aim is reportedly to keep the team united ahead of the upcoming regulation change.
So far this season, Ferrari is second place in the standings, but 268 points behind McLaren. The Italians are yet to win a Grand Prix, but Lewis Hamilton managed to cross the finish line in first place during the Sprint of the Chinese Grand Prix.
