Zak Brown took advantage of his first home Grand Prix in the 2025 Formula 1 season in Miami. The American SEO took a jab at rivals Red Bull Racing reflecting on 2024 rumours in a unique way. Brown had a special water bottle prepared for the only free practice session. Stickers on it read: 'Tyre water'.
That is of course a reference to the rumours from 2024, where during the course of the São Paulo GP,
Red Bull Racing reportedly accused the Woking-based team of injecting water into the tyres, which helped their performance. At the time, team principal
Christian Horner's answer to a question about the matter was
"No comment."Brown reflects on joke
Talking to Sky Sports during FP1, Brown said: "It tastes great. Might have something to do with it (the accusation), just having a bit of fun here Friday morning. Andrea is way too serious for this stuff, so it's my job."
"There's been a team that has that theory, but it's a pretty big stretch I don't think would be very wise to do, so hey, we're just focused on ourselves."
