As the Formula One circus rolls into Monaco for the next race on the Formula One calendar, Toto Wolff does need seem too confident over Mercedes’ chances.
Perhaps it is all mind games, but Mercedes have found Monaco tricky in recent years, despite good results in the principality.
Wolff identifies Monaco and Singapore as tracks where Mercedes struggle, saying that it is “very difficult to undo the DNA” of their car.
Wolff said: “We have seen there are tracks which suit us well and some that w are not perfect at.”
Hamilton has won the last two races as he has pulled a lead over Sebastian Vettel at the top of the F1 standings, but Wolff is not getting carried away.

“As much as I am overwhelmed by our victory here, my mind is already on Monaco, and I remember it wasn’t a pleasant Sunday night last year.”
Hamilton added: “There are a lot of challenging races coming up and Monaco is a serious challenge.
“Naturally, Toto’s job is to worry and his mind will already be on the next race.”
