Support for Verstappen from Mercedes: 'Don't say whether it's good or bad'

The incident between Max Verstappen and Lando Norris at the Red Bull Ring has caused much discussion in the Formula 1 paddock. During the run-up to Silverstone, most of the Formula 1 field supported Verstappen's fierce actions. Mercedes CEO and team boss Toto Wolff also seems to be on board with this.
"You drives," Wolff said ahead of the British GP. "That's what I've seen in Formula One since his arrival. And I don't want to be judgmental on that. I think you drive as much as you're being let off. I'm not saying it's good or bad. But on a starting line, you go as much forward as you can without being penalised." the Austrian said.

Wolff doesn't expect miracles at Silverstone

George Russell was the laughing third after the crash between Verstappen and Norris. A few laps before the end, the Briton was still 15 seconds behind the race leaders, but the incident saw him take his second Formula 1 victory. Wolff does not expect Mercedes to be able to repeat that performance at Silverstone. " I think Lando and Max are probably at the moment a little bit ahead of everybody else. And that's not only on a qualifying lap that can be very, very close, although it wasn't in Austria because it's a minute lap time and there's still a few tenths quicker. But on race pace, these two seem to still be a step ahead, but we are really pushing it hard to bring more."
