Williams has announced the signing of engineer Dan Milner, poaching him from Mercedes.
Milner will join the British team after 14 years at Brackley, working for Honda, Brawn and Mercedes in a championship-filled era in the pinnacle of motorsport.
Now, the move will be made to join Williams, becoming its Chief Engineer for Vehicle Technology after many roles saw him invovled with R&D and powertrains.

Milner 'thrilled' to make Williams move

Milner expressed his joy about joining Williams in a press release announcing the move: “I’m thrilled to be joining Atlassian Williams F1 Team as Chief Engineer across Vehicle Technology. After 20 years of association with Brackley, it’s the right moment to take on a new challenge.
"Williams has a clear, ambitious plan to move forward, and I’m looking forward to bringing my experience and knowledge to help accelerate that journey. I can’t wait to meet the team, learn the organisation and get to work converting ideas into performance on track.”
Williams' Technical Director, Matt Harman, had plenty of positives to say about the transfer: “Dan brings broad experience and clear leadership. He has led major programmes across R&D and powertrains, turning ideas into performance, and he knows how to bring teams together to deliver.
"Dan will be central to our vehicle technology plan and to converting innovation into consistent performance gains on track, so we’re thrilled to have him on board as we continue our plans of bringing Atlassian Williams F1 Team back to the front of the grid.”

Lambiase also involved in transfer news

Along with the news of Milner moving from Mercedes to Williams, it was revealed that Gianpiero Lambiase would be departing Red Bull after an official statement followed Thursday morning's rumours.
McLaren then followed suit with their announcement of Lambiase joining the British team for the 2028 season.
The department of Max Verstappen's race engineer means yet another key figure will depart the Austrian team, going from total dominance to disarray.
