The reports that Williams could be bought out by a Russian billionaire's company have been denied. Last week many stories were published suggesting that Dmitry Mazepin was interested in buying the racing team but these have now been shut down.
Last year Mazepin's company, Uralkali, a Russian potash fertiliser producer, tried to take over Force India but the deal did not go through.
Tass, a Russian news agency, reported a Uralkali spokesman as saying: "The information that appeared in the media is untrue.
"Uralkali is not holding any negotiations regarding the purchase of the Williams team."
Willaims are set to struggle financially this season and will probably need some financial backing to confirm their future in the sport.
