Formula 1 will continue racing at Interlagos until at least 2035 after agreeing a five-year extension for the São Paulo Grand Prix.
The deal secures the long-term future of one of the sport’s most popular venues, with the Brazilian circuit having been part of the F1 calendar for more than five decades.
Officially named the Autódromo José Carlos Pace, Interlagos has hosted six Drivers’ World Championship deciders. Five Brazilian drivers, including Ayrton Senna, have won their home Grand Prix at the circuit.
F1 president and CEO Stefano Domenicali welcomed the agreement, highlighting the passion of the Brazilian fans and the country’s contribution to the sport.
“Brazil is an important part of Formula 1’s history and our future, and I am delighted that this five-year extension will see us continue racing in São Paulo until 2035,” Domenicali said.

The announcement comes as Brazilian drivers Gabriel Bortoleto and Rafael Câmara prepare to race in front of their home crowd in São Paulo this weekend.
According to F1, attendance at the Grand Prix reached 303,627 in 2025, up from 291,717 the previous year. The championship also said the 2025 event generated an economic impact of R$2.3 billion for São Paulo.
As part of the new agreement, the city will continue to invest in Interlagos, with the aim of improving the experience for fans and guests.
