What time does the Sakhir Grand Prix start?

After an exciting qualifying session, where the differences were extremely small, it is time for the drivers themselves to get ready for the Sakhir Grand Prix. For the second week we will be in Bahrain, but this time we will go over the shorter layout, where lap times below one minute have become normal. Will Mercedes manage to win again in Bahrain?
Max Verstappen will be their closest rival and from P3 on he will be keen to go for victory this time. Last week he had to acknowledge his superior in Lewis Hamilton, but the Brit is absent this weekend because of a positive coronavirus test. George Russell will also hope for a podium finish, or at least points on his debut for Mercedes, to break his F1 points duck.

Important points in midfield

The battle in midfield will also be hugely exciting to watch. With McLaren, Racing Point, Renault and Ferrari there are still plenty of contenders for third place in the constructors' championship and that all important prize money.
Because of the small differences and the long straights, overtaking seems possible, although the drivers predict that there may be big DRS trains. Whether that will really be the case in the race, or whether we will see a lot of overtaking, we will find out at 17:10 UK time.
