Vettel needed little time: 'Can't forget his time at Toro Rosso'

Sebastian Vettel is embarking on a new adventure at Aston Martin this year, after his dream drive at Ferrari turned sour. Aston Martin are delighted with the arrival of the four-time World Champion and hopes he can help take them to new heights.

According to team boss Otmar Szafnauer, Vettel hardly needed any time to get used to his new team, even though he is used to driving at bigger teams like Ferrari and Red Bull.

"We should not forget that Sebastian has been at Toro Rosso for a few years, they are about the same size as us. And he has a great memory. We already like him very much. We have the same philosophy about how we want to race, for us performance is our top priority," Szafnauer told Auto, Motor und Sport.

He continued: "We strive to have the fastest possible car. This also applies to other areas, such as the pit crew with the tire changes. We want to get the best out of the races, including victories. That's what it's all about. And that's exactly what Sebastian is about."
