Sebastian Vettel, after having been retired for over two years, has left the door open for a return to Formula 1.
After having driven for Aston Martin for a two-season long spell, the German hung up his Formula 1 racing boots at the end of the 2022 season.

Vettel would welcome F1 return, but in a different capacity

By the looks of it, his plans don't involve donning them on once again.
His comeback would not mean a return to the cockpit for the Heppenheimer.
“My time as a driver is over,” Vettel said during an appearance on ZDF Sports Studio.
“But taking on another role somewhere in the sport is certainly something I could imagine.”
Vettel still retains a good relationship with Red Bull leadership including Helmut Marko

Vettel is still needed at home, but 'who knows what the future may bring'

After walking away from the sport Vettel explained that he wanted to spend more time with his wife Hanna and their three children.
While life away from the paddock is keeping him busy, he admits the sport remains close to his heart.
These days, Vettel splits his time between family life, agricultural training, and his environmental and sustainability commitments. He also co-owns the Germany SailGP team.
“The kids are great fun, and the tractor still needs driving,” he joked, before adding with a smile: “But who knows what the future holds.”
