Speaking to the media, the Red Bull Racing driver highlighted his satisfaction with the lap, particularly since it was completed without any caution periods or traffic interruptions.
“You're always a little lucky here with traffic, and I think in my lap there wasn't that much traffic. I think that was the only lap without a Code 60.”

Driving the Mercedes-AMG GT3 for Winward Racing, Verstappen admitted he still needs more experience in the car, but overall he was pleased with its performance.
“The feeling is good in the car. Of course, we still need more experience in the car, but I have to say, yesterday was a very good day. The sun is out, so that's very good,” he added.

Verstappen on why he loves racing at the Nordschleife

Quizzed further about why he enjoys racing at the Nordschleife despite his commitments in Formula 1, the four-time F1 champion noted his love for GT3 cars and his desire to participate in the 24 Hours race as integral.
“Of course I like the GT3 cars, but to race here in the 24 Hours, I've seen a lot of them, and this year I would do it myself. The feeling of driving on this track is always very special.”
