Verstappen's public service could include working with race stewards - Todt

Max Verstappen might have to work with race stewards as part of his public service, after the Dutchman was sentenced to it after pushing Esteban Ocon on numerous occasions following their incident at the Brazilian Grand Prix.

FIA president Jean Todt has said to Sky Sports that Formula 1 drivers must learn to show more respect in their actions and has said that Verstappen might have to work with race stewards for his punishment.

"When you have these kinds of exposures, this kind of fame, it gives you also responsibilities," Todt said. "So it means that whatever your emotions you must be able to control them. And to respect your supporters, to respect your word.

Verstappen said in Abu Dhabi, that he thought the sentence for his push was "harsh".
