Verstappen is already on holiday, but some F1 drivers are still working at the Hungaroring

After the conclusion of the Hungarian Grand Prix, Formula 1's summer break got underway. Max Verstappen, for example, already headed to the beach yesterday while celebrating his partner Kelly Piquet's daughter Penelope's birthday with the family.

However, the Hungaroring remains busy on Tuesday and Wednesday with several test sessions taking place. To begin with, Pirelli is conducting a two-day tyre test. On the opening day, Jak Crawford drove for Aston Martin, Gabriel Bortoleto was in action for Audi, and Franco Colapinto tested for Alpine.

The three drivers did screening runs on the C3 compounds, and the two South Americans also did qualifying simulations and higher-mileage stints on the C4 and C5 compounds as well.

The Pirelli tyre test at the Hungarian Grand Prix continues today with Colapinto and Bortoleto. On social media, the Argentinian wrote: "Testing, so many laps, and so much heat! Tomorrow last day and mini break!"

The updated Honda power unit will make its on-track debut at the Hungaroring today, as GPblog previously reported.

During a Formula 1 filming day, teams are allowed to complete up to 200 kilometres and can hold two such days per season.

Aston Martin introduced 16 updates for the Hungarian Grand Prix. After reaching Q2 for the first time this season, Fernando Alonso has already expressed satisfaction with the team's progress.

He explained to GPblog, among others: "I think it was important. Definitely it was important for everyone in the team, as you know, it has been a tough period in both factories, having the deficit that we had in terms of performance in the first half of the year.

"It's not anymore that we are chasing something that we don't know, we know exactly what we are looking for, and we know exactly the targets for the next package or the targets for next year. So that's I think for me the biggest change of this weekend," the Spaniard concluded.
