Max Verstappen predicts a tough battle against
Ferrari for the
Hungarian Grand Prix. The Dutchman finished P4 in the second free practice session and expects it to be difficult to beat
Charles Leclerc and
Carlos Sainz this weekend.
Leclerc and Sainz looked fast on Friday. The Spaniard topped the timesheet in FP1, while Leclerc dominated the second practice session.
Ferrari is the big favourite at the
Hungaroring, as the track suits the car well. Verstappen hopes the predicted rain can help him on Saturday.
"Ferrari are clearly ahead. In dry conditions we can't match them, who knows maybe tomorrow the weather will bring us something. It will be difficult to beat them. We will see if we can close the gap somewhat," Verstappen is quoted by Formula One journalist Erik van Haren on
Twitter.
 Ferrari stronger in qualifying
Ferrari have had a stronger car than
Red Bull Racing all season on Saturday. Over a single lap, Verstappen and
Sergio Perez often can't do much, but in the race the RB18 is often stronger. In any case,
Christian Horner hopes the circuits after the summer break will be in his team's favour.
