Hamiton: "It is a bit of stuggle"

Following on from his brilliant finish last weekend in France in his Forfay running this time round its been nothing but challenging for Lewis Hamilton.

"The car is a bit of a struggle today. It's crazy how it swings so much from track to track but just set up. Just trying to figure out how we can get the car working. At the moment it is a little bit loose and not doing what we want it to do. So, difficult day." Said Hamilton to Sky Sports after FP2.

Whilst it's not always smart to look into the results in practice too much, the early signs for the pace of the Mercedes is not great but additional damage to the car could have caused more problems during the running, Hamilton suggested.

"I didn't get to run at the end because I sustained some damage. So, I lost a lot of downforce and after that it was tricky with the long run pace. It's going to be a tough weekend that is for future, but we will give it everything."

With the forecast showing rain for tomorrow's sessions that could help Mercedes in their battle to get back towards the front but there will be a lot to change over the next 24 hours if they're to be competitive this weekend.
