A filmmaker with a soft spot for Ronnie Peterson, Gilles Villeneuve, Mika Hakkinen and above all, Tazio Nuvolari and Ayrton Senna, is also a diehard Formula One fan since the age of 4 (mid-90's). An avid researcher of the past of Grand Prix Racing since before it was even named F1, and with a thirst for knowledge of the ins and outs of the actuality of the sport, as well as for the technical aspects that define it, is a member of GPblog since 2023, where he has put his love of racing to good use.
This week, Miami is on the calendar as the sixth round of the championship. Max Verstappen reigning F1 champion seems to be very popular amongst the police officer.
Although the first five rounds have not gone as Verstappen would have hoped, with only two pole positions and one victory to his name, the Dutchman's results have been better than expected, since Red Bull Racing's RB21 has proven to be not up to par to challenge for the top prizes.
However, Verstappen is merely 12 points off the championship lead, so should Red Bull mitigate their tyre degradation woes, and find the RB21's very narrow operating window in the sole practice session of the sprint weekend in Florida, then the Dutchman could hope to extend his 100% podium finish record in Miami since the race's addition to the calendar in 2022.
