Max Verstappen is not facing a major challenge for the first time this season. The Dutchman is starting from third place in the pursuit of victory in the Spanish Grand Prix, with two McLarens of Oscar Piastri and Lando Norris ahead of him. A little under two hours before the start of the race, the Red Bull Racing driver is optimistic about achieving a good result.During the drivers' parade, Verstappen looked ahead to the race and what's possible?
"Yeah, we'll see. I mean, I think P3 is a good starting position. We'll try to have a good race. It's very hot today, so it's going to be very tough on the tyres for everyone, and that's going to be today." Verstappen doesn't give up in the face of McLaren's speed
Verstappen was then complimented on the high level at which he is performing this season; despite a less powerful car, always in the wake of McLaren. Verstappen, however, responded modestly: "We try our best all the time, you know, of course they have been again very quick this weekend, but we'll try to have the best possible for us."
In any case, this year too, there are again thousands of Dutch fans in the stands of the circuit at Barcelona. Verstappen said he enjoyed it: "It was amazing for me to be driving here, seeing all the fans and of course my own fans, you know, it's full around here and that's always what you want to see."
