Max Verstappen has admitted that he doesn't want to influence the decision of who will partner him next season. Alex Albon was promoted to join the Dutchman from Toro Rosso earlier in the season, while the team are yet to decide on next season's second driver.
"It depends on them, " Verstappen said.
"I'm not the deciding factor and I don't want to be either. I don't care who feels next to me.
"They are the bosses, so they decide.
Pierre Gasly was the driver who changed with Albon after the Hungarian Grand Prix, but since being demoted the Frenchman has added just two points, which has made the team consider their options ahead of next season.

"[Alex] is good, I enjoy working with him, he is very relaxed. But he is not different from Pierre, I really liked working with him.
"I am very happy for Pierre at Toro Rosso, he had a good performance in Singapore, so he sure feels more at ease.
"But going back to Alex, for now, we drive the car in a fairly similar way.
"We each have our own style, although I think we are both looking for the same things. That is also important for the team."
