Verstappen confident: 'We have a strong race car'

Max Verstappen let it be known before the Mexican Grand Prix that he is confident of a good result after his disappointing qualifying on Saturday. The Dutchman knows that the car is fast enough.

Verstappen says he is enjoying the Mexican fans and reveals that the Mexican GP is even more fun now that Sergio Perez is his teammate. "It's great to see, " says Verstappen on the YouTube channel of Formula 1.

"They support Checo of course, but they also support the team. I have good memories here because of the past. And now with Checo as my teammate it's even better. They are very loud and that is good to see," continued the Dutchman.

Verstappen has put his qualifying session to the back of his mind, revealing: "We have a strong race car. The qualifying wasn't quite top-notch, but I'm confident we can get a good result", he concludes.
