Max Verstappen created quite a buzz among the fans on the podium after the Emilia-Romagna Grand Prix. Footage shows the Dutchman being loudly sung to by mainly Ferrari supporters as he celebrated his second Formula 1 victory of the 2025 season.
Formula 1 is in the midst of one of its most thrilling seasons, with three drivers emerging as genuine title contenders. Oscar Piastri had won the previous three Grands Prix consecutively, but in Imola, it was a different story. Max Verstappen once again proved his class by outperforming both McLaren drivers for the second time this season, securing victory and claiming the top step of the podium.

'Tu tu tu tu, Max Verstappen!'

Over the past year, Max Verstappen has frequently faced boos and jeers at Formula 1 events, including the F1 75 celebration in London. However, his dominant performance at Imola signalled a clear shift in public sentiment. Rather than hostility, the Dutch driver was met with cheers and admiration from a mainly Ferrari-supporting audience. s
Footage from TikTok shows Verstappen, who has now four times a row at Imola, being loudly sung to by all the fans as the Dutch national anthem sounded. In the background, the chant "Tu tu tu tu, Max Verstappen!" can be heard. Judging by the Dutchman's reaction, he seems to appreciate the enthusiasm from supporters at one of the most iconic circuits on the Formula 1 calendar.
The four-time world champion sits in third in the drivers championship, nine points behind second-placed Lando Norris, but 22 behind Oscar Piastri who still leads the way after seven rounds. The next race takes place around the iconic streets of Monaco as Formula 1's start to the European season continues.
