The Red Bull Racing driver, who largely stole the spotlight earlier when he took part in his compulsory driving test to obtain his grade A DMSB permit, is set to make his official debut at the Green Hell.
Verstappen will compete in the ninth round of the Nurburgring race – a four-hour event, under the Emil Frey Racing team with the Ferrari 296 GT3 car. The F1 champion will team up alongside Chris Lulham, where he joins a grid of 110 cars.
Where to watch Verstappen’s Nurburgring outing
Max Verstappen’s outing at the 57th ADAC Barbarossa Prize at the Nurburgring Nordschleife can be watched live on Motorsport TV. Also global audience can access the race through the Nurburgring official channel.
The session is expected to kick off at 7:30 AM (BST), with qualifying set to open the day, followed by pit walk and subsequent grid formation at 9:20 AM and 10:10 AM.
It is worth recalling that Verstappen, earlier in May, broke the lap record at the Nurburgring during a test at the iconic circuit. The Dutch driver, during his last test in a detuned GT4 car, also recorded impressive lap times when he obtained his license.
