Honda had problems with one of their power sources during the Hungarian Grand Prix on Friday. That was looked into after that race weekend and with results it seems so. Friday went without any problems for the Japanese, although they now have to check one of the engines.
"For this first day of the British GP weekend, we came here with some improvements relating to PU management and drivability, based on data acquired from the last three races. It was a very hot day with temperatures of over 30 degrees, but our PU worked well in these conditions with no problems", said Toyoharu Tanabe, the big man at Honda.

Albon puts Honda to work

Still, there's some work to be done at Honda's camp tonight. Not only because the circumstances on Saturday and Sunday will be quite different, but also to see if the power source at the back of Alexander Albon's RB16 is still intact.
"As lower temperatures are expected as from tomorrow, we will prepare accordingly, using today’s data. As a result of Alex’s crash in FP2, we are now carrying a detailed inspection of the PU to check for any damage."
