Wolff discusses Alonso's 'brake test': 'Laps before it didn't happen'

Toto Wolff wonders aloud whether Fernando Alonso is guilty of George Russell's crash. It is still awaiting a ruling from the stewards, so Wolff remains cautious.

"Do we have any answers?," Wolff asked journalists while talking to the press in Australia? Clearly, Wolff himself does not yet know anything about what was discussed behind the scenes. Fernando Alonso and George Russell were called to the stewards at 07:20 (CET) and more than an hour later there is still no definite answer.

There was also some discontent afterwards about the virtual safety car that followed, with Russell shouting for a red flag in the middle of the track. "I mean, he was quite vocal about it. You know, at the end, the moment you have a VSC, it's neutralised anyway. So, I think that's OK. The question is, how quickly do you go on the button," Wolff concluded.
