Toro Rosso is apparently looking at adding a Japanese driver to their line-up. The current line-up for the team includes Pierre Gasly and Brendon Hartley however according to team boss Franz Tost, the team could be looking elsewhere soon.
The Toro Rosso boss told Autosport that F2 drivers Nirei Fukuzumi and Tadasuke Makino were possible options for the outfit.
“Of course, there is the Honda link.
“And what we want is to have sooner or later a Japanese driver.
“Here, it is in his hands. He must show a good performance and then we will see.”

Rumours have been rife so far in 2018 that the team could be pushing Hartley out after the Monaco Grand Prix and the list of replacements varies from Formula E's Jean-Eric Vergne to former Sauber driver and Mercedes test driver Pascal Wehrlein.
