Max Verstappen is competing in one of his ‘home races’ at the Austrian circuit this weekend. Despite a disappointing qualification, the Dutchman still carries a smile on his face throughout the weekend in Austria.
The Dutch driver is referring to the thousands of fans who are seen annually at the Red Bull Ring. Amidst the loud cheering of these fans, the Dutchman spoke about the support during the Drivers Parade: "It's just the whole atmosphere, you know, the whole weekend, all around the track in Orange as well. And yeah, in the past we've had a lot of great results here, so hopefully we can have another great day."
‘’It's nice, I enjoy it, it brings a smile on my face while driving. And like I said, hopefully also we can move forward a bit. You know, that will always be a bit more fun.

Remarkable moment before the Drivers Parade

Between the Formula 2 race and the Drivers Parade, there was a noticeable moment. A tow truck crashed into a hoarding above the circuit. The impact caused the billboard to fall. It was swiftly cleaned up, so the race can go on as usual in sweltering Austria. Temperatures are soaring, so tire management is going to play a crucial role.
