This is the 'GPblog Driver of the Day' from the French Grand Prix!

The French Grand Prix had a stunning finale. While Lewis Hamilton was in the lead, a better strategy from Red Bull Racing turned out to be the key to a victory for Max Verstappen. The Dutchman is far in the lead as Driver of the Day.

Verstappen received a whopping 84 percent of the vote for his strong performance in France. The Dutch driver had to work hard to get to and pass his rival Hamilton, but showed his class. Hamilton had no choice but to let Verstappen pass him and hand over the victory.

The shared second and third place is for Lewis Hamilton and Sergio Pérez. Both drivers managed to get on the podium. Especially of the Mexican, this was an excellent performance, since he was also fighting with a Mercedes. Pérez however was faster than Valtteri Bottas and so ensured a double podium finish for Mercedes.
