The Monaco Grand Prix had more in store than what was assumed. Rain showers not only caused the start to be delayed, but it also added an unpredictable element to the race. Sergio Perez came out on top thanks to Red Bull Racing's strategy, but do you think he was the Driver of the Day?

Overwhelming number of votes for Perez

Perez accounted for an overwhelming 68 percent of the votes, allowing him to be named GPblog Driver of the Day with conviction. No one comes close to the Mexican.
There is also recognition for Pierre Gasly and Fernando Alonso. Where Gasly owes this to his clever overtaking actions after AlphaTauri put him on intermediates very early on, the honor goes to Alonso presumably because of the way he managed to keep a frustrated Lewis Hamilton behind him for a long time.
It was not Max Verstappen's weekend and that is reflected in the votes. Only six percent of the votes go to the Dutchman, who this time had to acknowledge his teammate was faster all weekend.
