The FIA has shared a teaser of the new 2026 race car on X (formerly Twitter). The car will be unveiled later today.

Because of the new regulations that will be introduced in the 2026 season, teams will also have to start working with a new race car. After a long wait, the FIA finally announced this afternoon what this car will look like.

The 2026 race cars will be powered by hybrid engines. Half of these engines will consist of electric power and internal combustion. The new engines will also be louder than the current ones, according to Stefano Domenicali (CEO of Formula 1) who was quoted by motorsportweek.com.

The model of the car will be announced this afternoon, but how good the cars end up being is up to the teams themselves.
