Ted Kravitz believes that Mercedes update is "working very well" but doesn't believe that Ferrari have their engines turned up to full power yet. Mercedes topped the timesheets in FP1 and FP2 but Ferrari are not far behind and could easily catch up.
"It's all around the bargeboard area," Kravitz said to Sky Sports. "They brought a previous upgrade around Paul Ricard time and now they have developed it since then. It's actually a medium-large size update and it seems to be working very well for Mercedes.
"Is it enough to get them back past Ferrari? It seems so at the moment, but I heard a paddock whisper that GPS traces suggested Ferrari hadn't turned up their engines at all yet."
Qualifying has been moved to Sunday due to bad weather and it will be interesting to see if Ferrari up the pace and if we have a close shootout between the two top teams.
