Mattia Binotto has admitted that the summer break was welcomed after Ferrari endured a difficult first half of the season which saw them fail to win a race in the first 12 races.
The Scuderia have been plagued by issues in 2019, ranging from team order controversy to technical issues as well as mistakes from their drivers.
Sebastian Vettel spun without any contact whilst battling Lewis Hamilton in Bahrain before running off the track in Canada collecting a penalty which cost him the race win. Charles Leclerc meanwhile has suffered two retirements this season including one in his home race of Monaco.
At the most recent race in Hungary, Ferrari were a minute off the pace of the leaders. Binotto admitted the summer break came at a good time but praised the work of his team.
"The summer break is welcome, an opportunity to rest and recharge the batteries," Binotto told Motorsport.com.

"It was a very busy start to the season for several reasons, starting with the change of organization that took place last January, but the team spirit emerged at a difficult time.
"When you go through a difficult period, I believe it is fundamental to feel a climate of trust around you, with the right mood: if there is something that puts me at ease, they are definitely the people around me."
