Lance Stroll endured a challenging afternoon at the British Grand Prix for Aston Martin as he crossed the finish line in seventh place.
It was a missed opportunity for the Canadian as he spent some of the 52 laps in third place before struggling with tyre degradation.
The troubles with the Pirelli rubber were seen on both the wet and dry compounds in a lacklustre day for Stroll.
He was seething after the race, as the British Grand Prix was such a difficult event to navigate in the Aston Martin.
This compounds a lacklustre start to the season, which has been disrupted by lingering injuries to his wrist. He had to withdraw from the Spanish Grand Prix and has only scored points three times in 2025.

Stroll's exchange with his engineer Gary Gannon

Stroll was livid on the cooldown lap heading back to the pit lane and had a heated exchange with his engineer.
Here is how Stroll and his engineer Gary Gannon's exchange went over the team radio:
Gannon: "So, crazy car to drive, amazing finish."
Stroll: "That is an understatement, man. I mean, it's the worst piece of s**t I've ever driven in my life, to be honest. But it's okay. P7."
Stroll also said in the paddock post-race to GPBlog and others that finishing in seventh was the best he could do amid the tricky circumstances.
He said: "With the degradation we have, we couldn't have gotten a better result, honestly. I was barely able to stay on the track at the end with the soft tyre because it was just completely grained.
"And also the intermediate tyre just losing 20 seconds of race time compared to the Sauber at one point in the race. Just huge degradation."
He will be hoping for a more successful race next time out at Spa-Francorchamps, a track Stroll has finished in the top 10 multiple times.
