Lawrence Stroll, the father of Formula 1 driver Lance Stroll and also owner of the Aston Martin Formula 1 team, sold part of his shares in the racing team last month. The party that bought the shares is Arctos Partners. Despite the many rumours surrounding the share sale, Stroll has no intention of leaving Aston Martin, he told the New York Times.
Rumours abounded that Stroll would sell Aston Martin, or that he had already sold it. He would have lacked the motivation to commit to his son's career any longer.

Does Stroll want to sell Aston Martin F1?

The businessman has read the rumours, and he, therefore, refers them to the bin: "You don’t go spending hundreds of millions of pounds, building the greatest new Formula 1 campus and hiring 400 of the greatest employees if you’re about to leave the business. It could not be any further from the truth that I have any interest in ever not being the majority shareholder of this team for a very long time, and it is the same with the road car company. I’m not going anywhere. I plan to run these businesses for many years."
