After a collision with Leclerc during FP1 of the 2025 Monaco Grand Prix, the Canadian driver has been given a penalty after further investigation carried out by the FIA stewards.
The incident occurred when Stroll, on a slow lap, veered into Leclerc's path during turn 6 at the Loews hairpin, causing the Ferrari driver to rear-end the Aston Martin.
Leclerc suffered front wing damage and had to return to the pits for repairs, while Stroll's car sustained rear suspension damage, ending his session prematurely. Despite the incident, Leclerc managed to set the fastest lap of the session, with a time of 1:11.964, ahead of Max Verstappen.

Lance Stroll and Charles Leclerc were both summoned to the stewards following their collision.
The stewards deemed Stroll to be at fault for the collision and imposed a one place grid penalty, along with a penalty point on his license, bringing his total to three for the current 12-month period.
This penalty adds to Stroll's history of on-track incidents in Monaco, where he has previously faced scrutiny for various infractions.
