The second free practice session at the Monaco Grand Prix is here! More time for drivers to get into the rhythm of the Principality streets for Saturday's qualifying. Catch all the action down below! Rain to hit in qualifying?
Qualifying at the Monaco Grand Prix has always been one of the more important sessions throughout the
Formula 1 season due to the challenging nature of overtaking.
There are always some surprises in Monte Carlo when it comes to the weather, with the torrential downpours that come down, throwing sessions into disarray.
It looks like this could be the case for qualifying on Saturday, with a 40% chance of rain forecast for that session, potentially blowing the grid wide open for Sunday's Grand Prix.
Mandatory stops to shake things up
Along with the rain that may come and cause some chaos, a brand new rule for the 2025 Grand Prix will also bring some changes to the race.
In February, the FIA
announced that they would be adding a new rule just for the Monaco Grand Prix, with two mandatory pit stops needed to be taken during the race.
As a result, what is usually sometimes seen as a procession around the streets of Monte Carlo could shift into an intriguing and changable strategy battle on Sunday.
