Horner’s sudden exit from Red Bull Racing came as a bombshell, and since then, talk has also turned to Max Verstappen’s future. GPblog reports that Verstappen’s departure is still a possibility. In an interview with the German site Sport, Guenther Steiner offered some advice to the Dutch driver.
The topic has been dominating discussions in recent weeks — Verstappen’s future with Red Bull Racing. GPblog recently outlined the latest developments and examined the key factors that could keep Verstappen loyal to the team.
Gunther Steiner weighed in on Verstappen’s decision about what lies ahead in an interview with sport.de: ‘’I think he will stay where he is next year. There are completely new engine and vehicle regulations coming into effect.''
''Nobody knows where anyone stands. Switching now and entering a long-term contract is too big a risk’’, former Haas team boss added.
Steiner also explained why the risk is significant for the Dutchman: ''I think Max looks at how next season starts, who has the best car. And logically, you have a big chance to get the best car if you are the best driver. That's just how it is in Formula 1. I think he will see and then decide what he does.’’

Would Antonelli be in danger with Verstappen joining Mercedes?

If Verstappen does indeed move to Mercedes, then former F1 driver Johnny Herbert fears for Kimi Antonelli: ‘’Antonelli could learn from Verstappen, but that was always the argument one could make with Albon or Gasly, or even Tsunoda.''
''They don't. They can't. They get completely crushed. There is a chance that Antonelli gets crushed. That can happen when you go up against drivers like Schumacher, Senna, Alonso, and now Max.’’
