Steiner: "Don't extend F1 points beyond top 15"

Guenther Steiner believes that F1 shouldn't award points to anyone below 15th place on the grid if the scoring system is indeed changed.
Points are awarded to the top 10 at the moment, but details were leaked last week that indicated the top 15 or even 20 drivers could be receiving points.
Haas Team Principal Guenther Steiner believes that F1 shouldn't go ahead with this plan as he thinks it takes out the sense of achievement.
"I think down to 15 is OK," Steiner told RaceFans.
"In my opinion, nothing changes, you need to adapt to it.

"We all remember when it was up to six (finishers) then we went to eight then we went to 10.
"It's just number but you need to make sure that how the points are given, it's fair. The position you fight for, needs to be rewarded for it."
A victory's value in points will have to be extended above the current 25 mark if the system is changed, Steiner believes.
"There needs to be gaps," he said.
"If you finish 10th or 15th there needs to be a good gap. You have to start with a complete new set of numbers for the winner: 50 or 100, I don't know, that's not my job to do this calculation."
