"Hamilton stronger than Vettel in the title fight" - Briatore

Flavio Briatore believes that Lewis Hamilton is 'stronger' than Sebastian Vettel as the two battle it out for the Formula One crown.

Briatore claims that Vettel only has a chance of the title if Hamilton's Mercedes continue to make mistakes.

The Italian businessman thinks that Mercedes still possess the best car in the sport and they have the strongest chance this season.

Vettel is eight points clear of Hamilton as it stands, after the German came to Hamilton's homeland last weekend and ran away with the glory.

Ferrari are 20 points clear of Mercedes currently in the Constructors' Championship and Briatore admits that Mercedes have made mistakes in recent weeks.

"Ferrari have a chance to win it again, but only if Lewis Hamilton is going to make mistakes," Briatore said to Radio Capital.

The Italian also believes that Ferrari need to make a change in their driver line-up to improve and doesn't hold back with his thoughts.

"Put Kimi Raikkonen aside and replace him with Leclerc," Briatore said.

Sauber driver Charles Leclerc has been tipped to replace Kimi Raikkonen at Ferrari.

"Otherwise they will never again win the constructors. If they take that risk, Ferrari can participate in that fight again," Briatore added.
