Sprint Qualifying Results US GP | Verstappen makes statement, Norris P4

Max Verstappen set the quickest lap time in Sprint Qualifying at the US Grand Prix. The Dutchman's time was a 1:32.833. George Russell did well to finish in second place after Mercedes' latest upgrades brought to this weekend, while Charles Leclerc finished in P3.

Verstappen can have a good shot at gaining points on Lando Norris, as the Briton only finished in P4. Carlos Sainz finished in P5, while Lewis Hamilton fell to P7 in the final session of the day. Haas are having a great home Grand Prix so far, as Nico Hulkenberg qualified sixth, and Kevin Magnussen finished eighth.

The top team drivers were eliminated early on in Austin. Oscar Piastri's best lap time was deleted in SQ1, therefore, he finished in P16. In SQ2, Sergio Perez was also eliminated, after Yuki Tsunoda knocked the Mexican out.
